David Gross

I was 14 years old when I decided to move to Maui. My mother, brother and I were watching the sunset during my first Maui vacation. I remember looking up at my mom and saying, “I’m going to live here. I don’t know when, but one day I’m going to move here.” In 2006 I made that childhood dream a reality by purchasing a one-way ticket from my home in Cincinnati, Ohio.

What I learned from moving to South Maui is that life is short and if you understand what you want and are willing to work for it, anything is possible. My career background has been in hospitality and tourism, which has given me a customer service approach to real estate sales. This line of work provided wonderful experiences ranging from helping Maui tourists snorkel for the first time at Molokini to managing a high-end restaurant in Melbourne, Australia.

I love to travel- meeting people from across the world, exploring new cities and landscapes, eating foreign foods and having memorable experiences. I’ve been SCUBA diving in the Great Barrier Reef, ziplining in Jamaica, RVing in New Zealand, island hopping in Thailand, glacier trekking in Alaska, bungee jumping, sky diving, and camping nearly 2 months while travelling the east coast of Australia. With each place I’ve visited, I’ve become more appreciative to call Maui home.

I also have a passion for helping others realize and achieve their dreams, even going so far as to writing a self-help book entitled From Mainland to Maui. I live in Kihei with my wife, Miranda, and my dog, Yarra. When I’m not assisting real estate clients I am enjoying all that Maui has to offer. Whether that be reading on the beach, snorkeling one of Maui’s beautiful reefs, improving my golf game, cooking new recipes, travel planning or just sitting inside watching movies (because tomorrow’s weather will most likely be just as beautiful).
If you’re interested in learning more about Maui real estate and want to speak with someone without feeling pressured, give me a call. My focus is on service and communication, and treating people the way I like to be treated.
