How Do I Join the Mauna Lani Advantage Club?

I recently helped clients (with my business partner Julie Keller) purchase a fantastic home in Champion Ridge at Mauna Lani resort. Our clients wanted to know what benefits (besides the great view) came with being a resident of the Mauna Lani Resort. Maui in the distance from the infinity edge pool at Champion Ridge at Mauna Lani It took a little legwork to get all of the answers. Part of the reason is the changes over the last couple of years regarding who is in charge of the programs. Adding to the confusion is that there is a Spa and Fitness Club, a Beach Club, and the Advantage Club. What Club is for who, how do you get in, and what does it get you?

The Spa and Fitness Club

The Mauna Lani Spa and Sports and Fitness club can be joined by anyone and the regular rates and available classes can be found here, and here is the downloadable brochure with pricing and all kinds of great info. So although I do not live at the resort, I can pay a daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly fee for the Fitness Club. I can then use all the amenities of the gym, the tennis court, and the lap pool. I think that is great. The yearly membership gets me some discounts on tennis lessons and treatments at the spa. The Fitness Club has a large state of the art gym and a number of tennis courts including this one right in the middle of everything. Center Tennis Court at the Mauna Lani Spa and Fitness Club On the same property in a separate building, there is a Spa where you can get a massage, take a sauna, get your hair or nails done, and pamper yourself with all of the expected spa amenities.

The Beach Club

The Beach Club is located at the southern end of Mauna Lani Resort. Take the third exit at the main traffic circle when you enter Mauna Lani Resort and go past Champion Ridge, the golf course, 49 Black Sands Beach, and some other complexes. Eventually, you will get to the end of the road, but you need to be able to get past the gate! I was told you can get discounts at the Beach Club for equipment rental next to Napua restaurant if you are an Advantage Club Member — it took me a while to verify as only Hotel Guests and Advantage Members can get parking access to this gated beach. The public can walk there but it is not too convenient. The gate opens to the public at 5PM so they can have dinner at Napua. During the day, Advantage Club members get access with their card to get through the gate and can then use the beach and facilities. The other day, I got in and talked to people at the Boat House and the Beach Shack. Both of them said there is no discount for snorkel or SUP rentals if you are an Advantage Club member. They were so friendly and helpful that I forgot all about why I was there at all. Walking toward the bay, to the right are two buildings — one is a snorkel and equipment rental booth and the other is the Boat House. Walking up to the Beach Shack where you can rent snorkel gear, sup equipment, and get lessons too And then the boat house... The Boat House at the Beach Club Here you can book whale watching trips, sunset cruises, snorkeling excursions, dives, etc. The boat you will go out on is right in the bay. And then the beach is just amazing... The Beach Club at Mauna Lani Resort

The Advantage Club

If you own a condo or home in the Mauna Lani resort, you get free membership to the Advantage Club on a yearly basis. You need to apply and prove that you are a homeowner. People who are members of the Advantage Club get discounts at the Mauna Lani Sports and Fitness club, the Mauna Lani Spa, Mauna Lani Golf, and there are additional benefits listed in their pamphlet. I have not found the Advantage Pricing Pamphlet online, but picked one up at the fitness club and took a photo of it so you can compare the discounts to the regular pricing at the fitness club. Note that although you get dining discounts at the hotel, some of which are located poolside, and only registered hotel guests are allowed to use the hotel pool. So there you have it — all the clubs at Mauna Lani Resort.
