The Best Spas on the Kohala Coast, Ready for Your Embrace!

If you’re a spa junkie like me, I have a feeling you’ll be as excited as I am that the world renown Auberge Resorts Collection is coming to the Big Island Hawaii. With a facelift of $100 million, the property formerly known as the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel will be opening its doors late 2019. This is also a wonderful opportunity to provide work for locals and a stunning new venue to hang out and be seen.

Here is a list of my three favorite spas and treatments along the Kohala Coast:

1. Mandara Spa, Mauna Kea Beach Resort

FIRE AND ICE

Massage, Hot Stone Contrast Therapy Heated Basalt stones, and an ice-cool, refreshing gel will gently detoxify the body and address areas of concern, alleviating stress and easing aching muscles. While the body is in a pure state of blissful relaxation, melted paraffin on the back will enhance the warming sensation of this contrast therapy.

2. Fairmont Orchid, Mauna Lani

KONA COFFEE SCRUB

A taste of Kona in a way you’ve never experienced. Coffee has long been noted for its antioxidant qualities, which help combat the signs of aging skin. The caffeine promotes circulation to help diminish the appearance of cellulite.

3. Four Seasons, Hualalai

ISLAND ESSENCES BATH

Hawaiian sea salt, crushed rose petals, orange peel, and a blend of herbs creates a refreshing mood, leaving you feeling healthy and well-rounded. The bath journeys start with a full body dry brush, followed by scalp and foot massage, and full body massage, ending with a relaxing salt and herbal infused bath.

I am passionate about living a beautiful life. Now I have an opportunity to bridge a healthy lifestyle by changing our environment. Eternal sunshine, beautiful beaches, luxurious living, and endless culture… Just a few of the reasons why people love living in Hawaii.

Yoga Pose to Explore:

Standing Back Bend

As you inhale, raise your arms palms together over the top of your head. Leaning back into your spine, lift your chest up as you gaze at your hands. Feel your belly moving slightly toward your spine, creating a support for your lower back. Keep breathing smoothly as you stretch and lengthen your body.

Benefits:

  • Stretches the shoulders and chest
  • Stretches the quadriceps, groins, and abdomen
  • Strengthens the legs and ankles
  • Improves balance
  • Brings health to the spinal column
