Aloha Dear Friends,
I have been living on the Big Island Hawaii for over seven years now, and I still have not seen and explored all the amazing hiking our Island has to offer. I have been wanting to hike Puu Waawaa for such a long time. Last Monday I woke up and that was the day that I was going to conquer this Puu.
Puu Waawaa, in Hawaiian, means “many-furrowed hill,” and is an ancient cinder cone, with an elevation of 1900 feet overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
What grabbed my attention the most when I started my incline was the vast variety of colors — the bright purple Jacaranda trees were in bloom and created a river of bright purple leading the way. And then splashes of the beautiful yellow and red Ohia trees was enchanting. I enjoyed how the unique statues of dried wood bark created a galley of art along my hike.
I was greeted by some friendly cows, goats, and I was captivated by these cute dung beetles that were rolling their prize dung around the grassy field, make sure you don’t step on our little friends.
It took me about two hours with some huffing to get to the top, where there is a comfortable bench to exhale and to breathe in the beauty of the surrounding Kohala Coast, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualālai mountains.
Hiking up Puu Waawaa gave me the perfect opportunity to work out and departmentalize the subjects (stuff) in my mind. On the way down my mind was clear, I was filled with joy and it felt like I’ve been reborn. I highly recommend this incredible hike, make sure you bring water, wear comfortable shoes and a snack for along the way. Enjoy the journey, and the best spiritual hike on Big Island!
If you love the outdoors and enjoy living at the doorstep of an incredible hiking trail, then I highly recommend you look at the stunning luxury homes at Puu Lani Ranch.

Enjoy this beautiful testimonial from one of my dear clients:
“This year our family had the great pleasure of working with Satori when we purchased our beautiful home on The Big Island.
From the moment we began working with Satori we knew we were in the very best hands! Her experience and kind professionalism led us through the entire process. Satori guided us effortlessly. You don’t always know what to expect when Buying a 2nd home far away and it can be a little more challenging but this was the best buying experience we have ever had…when we flew back home..Satori managed a myriad of details for us…and continued to go above and beyond for us during our negotiated leaseback with the builder. It was a pleasure working with Satori and we highly recommend her for your family when buying or selling on the Big Island.
One of the things that really stands out was how welcoming she was to us during the buying process. While we were on the island Satori took our entire family on an afternoon tour which included a stop by the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Co Inc.
And our favorite a fresh poke lunch spot! Our children fell in love with a Satori as well..when she taught them how to make homemade chocolate.
Buying a house with Satori was a beautiful life experience that we will never forget. Satori is leaps and bonds the Best luxury agent!”
