A New Thanksgiving Trend

Aloha Dear Friends,

I live in a beautiful beachside community, Puako, on Big Island and we have a tribe of outgoing turkeys that fluff their feathers and strut their stuff around the neighborhood. I think they believe they come from royalty and it shows in their behavior.

I can’t help but feed these beautiful creatures, with their brightly colored feathers and unique colorful makeup, most of all their gobble gobble sounds and courting dances.

I cannot imagine in a million years to ever eat such a beautiful creature as they are my friends. I feel this blog may be a little controversial to some. There may be one of you out there that is touched by these words, to shift the tradition of Thanksgiving from the ripple effect of eating turkey, and shift to a healthier more humane festival where families and friends can get together and enjoy a healthier and more conscious time together.

Or make sure you are enjoying the flavors of a happy turkey. Know your source and where, which farm, and how ethical they are in the way they treat your live food.

I feel it’s time for us to break these traditions that is not in the evolution of our species and bring joy and light and love to our planet.

I tend to annoy some families and friends when I go over to their homes for Thanksgiving and inform them that I fast on Thanksgiving, I may have tea as a social acceptance behavior.

What can you do today to raise the vibration around you, within you, and to all those you meet?

It’s time for us to rise, it’s time for us to breathe deeper, it’s time for us to remember our spiritual gifts and to do the inner work, it all starts with Mindfulness of each action, Mindfulness of each behavior, it starts with not eating turkey on Thanksgiving or ever because you stand for something that you feel deep in your soul is right. Feel free to do your own research on how turkeys and animals are treated and the inhuman life they live prior to ending up on your plate.

If everything is energy and we eating the flesh of an animal living in fear, well no wonder so many are not in control of their health and mental wellbeing.

Breathe deep my friends, wishing you all a healthy time to be THANKFUL. I am thankful for each and everyone of you reading my blogs and believing in me.
