What Kind of Weather to Expect When Visiting Kauai During the Winter Months

In my previous career in Sales & Marketing, I’ve had countless conversations with guests who feel Kaua’i can only be visited during certain times of the year because of the weather. My response is always, “Kaua’i is Hawaii’s Garden Isle for a reason. In order to enjoy rainbows and waterfalls, there must be rain.” I wanted to share a few photos taken over the last week showing the beauty of Kaua’i, no matter the weather.

Kauai Winter Weather Brings Large Surf

During the winter months, surfers and experienced swimmers enjoy the big waves and increased surf activity. Most of us simply enjoy viewing the massive surf from the safety of the shorelines.

The world-famous Kilauea Lighthouse on Kauai’s north shore was dedicated in 1913 as a beacon and navigational tool for ships making their way to the Orient. This historical landmark welcomes over 500,000 visitors each year and provides a spectacular vantage point for viewing winter surf.
