How to Stay Motivated While Living on an Island

Growing up in Las Vegas instilled a hard-working service mentality into my persona for life. No complaints here as I love progress in growing a business and helping others. When I decided to move to Maui 9 years ago when I was 25 years of age, I knew I needed balance in my life since the nonstop cycle of city life was starting to come at a cost from a health standpoint.

A few of my concerns prior to making the move to Maui was, will I be able to adapt to “Island Time” and truth be told — yes, 100% and with ease. It’s actually helped my quality of life in ways I could have never imagined. I still love to work (more so now) and my goals for business and personal growth have become even loftier from the lessons I was able to learn and still learn from living in the Maui environment.

If you’re living on the mainland, and you can relate to this in any way, or you’re currently living in Hawaii and are wanting a little added motivation, take a moment to listen to the clip below from an episode of my podcast, “The Island Hustle,” with special guest and highly successful Maui resident, Lisa Teichner, on keeping our edge while living in paradise.
