Mahalo for reading!

I'm just a small town girl, livin' in an island world! Born and raised in Iowa, I was bit by the travel bug at an early age. In high school, I traveled to Europe for the first time and studied in a small village in the south of Russia, which broadened my horizons. In 2004, I graduated with a degree in Russian & German at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). During my time at UNI that I had the opportunity to serve as a camp counselor for the Morale, Wellness, and Recreation division of the U.S.Military where I lived in Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu. Although, I never expected that Hawaii would become my home, I loved the experience and longed to return. Later, I studied Business Marketing at The University of South Carolina until 2007 when I moved to Alaska to work as a Wine Specialist. Then, lo and behold, in 2010, I was offered a position on Maui and I’ve never looked back. After living in four very diverse states, spending a year & a half in Russia, traveling to all seven continents, and visiting over 50 countries, I have not found a place on earth where I’d rather live than right here on the incredible island of Maui.

About four years ago, I embarked on a new career in Real Estate. It seemed that somehow, I knew that this was something I was destined for and, in fact, this year, while helping my parents prepare for the sale of our Iowa home, I found out why. As an eight-year-old, I was already making plans. I was elated to find a report that I had written in elementary school about my future career choice. It said that I wanted to be a Real Estate Agent some day! Don’t let the number of years I’ve been in real estate fool you. I jumped right into the deep end quickly learning to swim & have already experienced enough that I could write a nice big novel. I am wholeheartedly committed to knowing all I can about real estate on Maui and then some.

As a resident and Realtor on Maui, I have learned that, living and working in a world-wide travel destination provides and enriches me with opportunities to assist my clients all across the world. So, I began networking on the mainland right away & soon all around the world. In 2016, I was elected Secretary General for the Young Member Committee of The International Real Estate Federation, FIABCI, and was, just recently, elected to serve on the International World Council of Brokers during the December Business Meetings held in Bali, Indonesia. FIABCI is the #1 platform to access the world’s real estate industry & all of the cogs, nuts, and bolts that come together to provide roofs over our heads. FIABCI has held consultative status at the Economic & Social Council of the United Nations for decades. I was honored to speak about the Hawaiian market at an UN Forum and luncheon in 2017 in Manhattan, NY. My activities & travels within this organization have kept me at the forefront of the world economic and development stage. In addition, I serve on the FIABCI-USA Membership Committee, am (newly-elected) Upcountry Regional Director for the Real Estate Association of Maui, am part of the Hawaii International Real Estate Council, and serve as Vice Chair for the Maui County Salary Commission. Bettering our community through volunteer service is very important to me.

When not serving clients, friends, and family with their real estate needs, I enjoy exploring Maui’s many incredible hiking trails, volunteering, swimming, golfing, enjoying sunsets, and am still an avid traveler.
