Ilima at Kehalani is Finally Released!

After several delays and much anticipation, Towne Island Homes has released its latest single-family home neighborhood. Ilima will be located in the master-planned community of Kehalani, Wailuku, along the foothills of the West Maui Mountains. Ilima at Kehalani is a 49 single-family home neighborhood, made up of eight different floor plans.

First Release

Starting on Sunday January 6, 2019, reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. As of Saturday January 5, 2019, five parties were in line to secure a home.

Only two floor plans are offered during the first release:

Model IK8 (Hinahina) a 1,744 sqft, 3 bed/2 bath which is built into the mauka (inland) side of the hill. Even though this home appears to be a two-story structure, it lives like a single-story home with the entrance located at ground level and all bedrooms and living area on the upper level.

Model IK7 (Kukui) is a 1,924 sqft, 3 bed/2.5 bath home built into the makai (ocean) side of the hill. At street level, this home appears to be single-story, but in fact is a two-story structure. The master bedroom and main living area is located on the top floor while the 2 remaining bedrooms and full bath are located below.

How Much?

Homes will start from the $700,000s. Prices are expected to increase with each release and vary depending on lot location and floor plan.

Homesite Locations

Towne will be releasing the house/lot parcels from the top (mauka) of Ilima, working their way down to the bottom (makai) of the subdivision. The final releases are expected to be along Oma’oma’o St., opposite a large park.

How do I reserve a home?

I am more than happy to help you with the reservation process and will be present when making your reservation. This involves filling out the reservation form, assisting with a pre-qualification letter from an approved project lender. A $5,000 deposit to escrow is also required and is put towards the purchase price of the home.

What if my first choice is no longer available?

Unlike the lottery system, if you pass on the current release you will be near the beginning for the next release, based on chronological order.  For example: If one other person passed before you on the previous release, they would have first choice and you would have second choice. For this reason alone, it’s best to make your reservations as soon as possible.
