Coming Soon: Highlands at Kehalani

Highlands at Kehalani is D.R. Horton’s next project, now that Ke’alohilani at Kehalani is wrapping up.

Located across Kehalani Mauka Parkway from Ke’alohilani, Highlands is a single-family housing development that will be closer to Iao Valley and at a slightly higher elevation. This doesn’t mean views are guaranteed, but there is a good chance that mountain and ocean views could be had.

Elevated home sites

Ocean and Wailuku town views from the sidewalk

Kehalani is a master-planned community with parks, ample sidewalks, and pedestrian/bike paths. Foodland, Longs Drugs, McDonald’s, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Walgreens, a gas station, and Starbucks are all conveniently located nearby.

Infrastructure is going in and the curbs and roads are now taking shape, which will give us an idea as to home sites.

Floor Plans

The same four floor plans that were offered in Ke’alohilani will be offered at Highlands. That includes 2 two-story homes and two one-story homes ranging from 3-4 bed/2-3.5 bath and from 1,502 sqft to 1,736 sqft. Highlands will be approximately the same size as Ke’alohilani with 82 homes scheduled to be built.

Upgrades

New upgrades to be included in the sales price of Highland at Kehalani homes are vinyl plank flooring and complete appliance package. Vinyl plank flooring is a waterproof flooring that has the look of hardwood. It’s sure to be a welcomed option in our sub-tropical Hawaiian climate. As for the appliances, the whole suite will be stainless steel, except for the washer and dryer. Corian counters and farmhouse sink will be standard in the kitchen, other options have yet to be announced.

Cost

The new fee-simple homes will start in the high $600,000s.
