I was born and raised in Hawaii and am a graduate of Farrington High School and the University of Hawaii. My background includes twenty years in sales and marketing in Hawaii, including ten years in sales management in the hospitality industry before stepping into the role of Realtor for the past 12 years. I have extensive training and have earned professional designations as a Certified Residential Specialist, Seller's Representative Specialist, Military Relocation Professional, and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. I also hold a Broker's License which is an advanced license demonstrating a higher level of expertise and experience, that only a small percentage of agents hold in the state of Hawaii. "From the time we first met Rose, she made us feel at ease with the process of purchasing a home. We had been on a journey for a while with no success, but Rose let us know that she will be our partner in this journey and it will be successful. "My husband and I were in search for our Hawaii dream home. Originally from Toronto, were tired of Canadian winters and felt we were ready to move to the sunny island of Oahu. However, we were worried whether we'd be able to find the right home for us while living in Canada and only being in Oahu for a few weeks all year.
Buying a home is already a daunting feat, let alone buying a home in a completely different country and on an island 5,000 miles away! That's why we wanted to find a realtor who we could trust and who would have our best interests at heart. That's when we found Rose.
We knew right away Rose was the right realtor for us during our first meeting. She had a calm and professional approach and was very genuine in her desire to help us find our perfect home. She asked great questions and spent the time to find out exactly what we were looking for in a house. She was very open, took everything we said to heart and did not make us feel that what we wanted was impossible. Rose quickly put our concerns at ease; she assured us that whenever we were in town we'd be her top priority, and we definitely felt we were!
She scheduled all the homes we wanted to see before we arrived in Honolulu in order to help us maximize the number of homes we could see in the limited time we were there. There were a lot of homes in just a few days-- but Rose was extremely accommodating.
Sure enough, after our third visit to Oahu we found the perfect home for us! And it happened very quickly-- within just a few short months after our first meeting with Rose. We put in the offer while on the island and Rose helped with all the aspects of the negotiation and signing the offer while we were back in Canada. She also helped us navigate the tricky waters of Hawaii real-estate law, which were far more complex compared to what we were used to in Canada.
She was very diligent with us throughout the closing process; including helping us coordinate the signing of all the final closing documents at the US embassy in London, UK (as we were there for work) in the lead up to our final closing date. This was far from an easy process, but we always felt supported by Rose and we knew that she'd always be able to answer our questions; no matter how simple or complex they were.
Above all else, we are so grateful to have Rose because not only do we have a new home, but a new friend as well. She's been so helpful in giving us her personal insights and tips on anything Hawaii-related and adjusting to the island. This has been invaluable.
