Maui Film Festival | June 15-19, 2016

Gather under a blanket of stars to indulge the senses and kick off summer at the annual Maui Film Festival. Compared to similar festivals in small communities, this well-noted event is held on the famous Wailea Golf Course at the base of majestic Haleakala, and has developed a stellar reputation for a touch of class in a one-of-a-kind setting.

What to Expect

In addition to movies on the lawn, the weeklong event list includes The Taste of Summer at the Grand Wailea Molokini Gardens, The Taste of Chocolate at Four Seasons Resort Maui, and the Taste of Wailea on the Wailea Gold and Emerald Golf courses, at The Ledbetter Private Golf Academy. Known for the relaxed atmosphere and fresh beach vibe, this perfect onset to summer is the place Hollywood comes to get Maui’ed.

In addition to nightly double features at the Celestial Cinema, the festival offers free, family-friendly films at the Toes-in-the-Sand Cinema on the beach and indoor screenings are across the island at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. The festival embraces thought-provoking, challenging, and uplifting themes, with Oscar contenders and quirky indies. Environmental and music documentaries are also programming staples, along with the most spectacular surfing and water action in any given year.

Sound Like Fun?

Be sure to participate as it is guaranteed to be all the best that South Maui has to offer. Season tickets and event specials are now available.
