Sarah has an extensive background in the real estate business, spanning 30+ years. Along with being the owner/operator of her family real estate company in St. Louis, Mo, started by her grandfather in 1910, she has been involved in sales, management, corporate relocation services, real estate development projects, historic renovation, and association work.

She was elected President of The St. Louis Association of Realtors, as well as receiving the “Realtor of The Year” and the Distinguished Service Award from the 7,000 member organization. She earned her CRB (Certified Residential Broker) designation, and CRP (Certified Relocation Professional) designation early in her career.

Community involvement has been a major part of Sarah’s business, and personal life. She has volunteered her time to more than 30 philanthropic organizations, including a major University and a community Bank Board. She was also recognized by The St. Louis Business Journal with the “Most Influential Business Woman Award.” In 2008 Sarah merged her company, Edward L. Bakewell, Inc., with Janet McAfee, Inc. to create the largest independent residential real estate company in St. Louis.

Welcome to the Team, Sarah!

Purchasing land and building a home on the island of Kauai in 2000, Sarah pursued her life-long dream to return to the place where she was born and raised. Now, as Director of Corporate Services for Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers, Sarah is able to leverage her years of experience and knowledge with the fastest growing residential real estate company in the State of Hawaii. Her goal is to create the premier real estate services available for corporate clients, customers, and Hawaii Life associates.
