Bargain Oceanfront Golfing & Vacant Kahuku Lots

I am one who likes to know I’m getting a good deal. I mean – who doesn’t love a bargain? In golfing (and in Hawai’i) it is hard to find these hidden gems – like Kahuku Golf Course. I’m not a huge golf fanatic, but at this price, I can’t complain!

Kahuku Golf Course, Oahu, Hawaii

One of Oahu’s Best-Kept Secrets

It’s been known as the closest course on Oahu to a real links seaside layout, the unpresuming/modest yet entirely enjoyable Kahuku course is a par-36, nine-holer. The course is in pretty good shape, but the location is what is unbelievable.

The views are spectacular. It’s just minutes from Turtle Bay Resort, named by Conde Nast Readers’ Choice Awards (2014) as one of the Top 25 Hawaii Resorts in 2014. Kahuku Golf Course is one of Oahu’s best-kept secrets. It is a great little course with expansive ocean views. You’re pretty much playing on the beach!

It is not Turtle Bay’s Fazio or Palmer, but it is right up the road and along the same unspoiled beaches. It’s pretty simple – if you’re one of those who need to play 18 holes, then play it twice back to back. It has a couple challenging par 3’s along with a couple of par 5’s.

This is a unique course with a warm atmosphere. It is casual attire, you might see some flip flops out on the course, but I suggest – wear your comfy shoes, because it is a walking course, with pull carts and golf clubs that are available for rent. It can get breezy out there too. Once in awhile you might see a few good waves out front, but we like to keep that another hidden gem too.

If you are after upscale fancy amenities, you won’t get them here. If you are after an inexpensive leisure day on the grass, next to the pristine ocean, this is it! Fun tip while you’re out on the course: Keep your eyes peeled for the marker that indicates the most northerly point of the Hawaiian islands.

This is one of the few courses that are kid friendly – in case you want to make it a deal day for the whole group! They encourage you to bring your own lunch and beverages to enjoy the seaside environment on available picnic tables. Soft drinks and snack vending machines are available in the clubhouse.

Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Daily
Phone: 808.293.5842
The price though – $16.50 to golf (add $4 to rent pull carts and $12 to rent clubs)

Nearby Real Estate

If you are interested in living nearby, I can help you find something to suit your needs, from resort-style living at Turtle Bay’s Kuilima Condominiums to raw land to build your own dream home – and of course everything in between!

A corner lot that is currently for sale, looks right out to the golf course & has peek-a-boo ocean views

There are some fantastic lots for sale here that lookout onto the golf course, and are a short distance to the beach and surf. Just ask me and I’d be glad to show you around!

Same lot pictured above. Price: 425,000, Land: 5,681 sq.ft. (MLS# 201423029)

Aloha!
