Turtle Bay, Kuilima Estates Condominiums – East vs. West & The Ocean Villas

What is the difference between Kuilima Estates East, West, and The Ocean Villas? Aside from the prices, it’s the ability to order in room service, and some units are pet-friendly while others are not.

The Ocean Villas, steps from beachfront

They are nestled on Oahu’s North Shore – the unequivocal surf capital of the world, also often referred to as “country” living with two-lane roads, remaining remarkably undeveloped compared to other parts of Oahu. It has lots of locally owned shops and scrumptious food trucks, and lush bright green foliage.

Turtle Bay Resort is named by Conde Nast readers’ choice awards as one of the Top 25 Hawaii Resorts in 2014. If that isn’t intriguing enough – it’s our only resort on the North Shore, and it’s an iconic landmark on Oahu. For those of you who enjoy resort-type amenities, The Kuilima Estates condominiums are a fantastic choice.

The Ocean Villas

The Ocean Villas are true luxury oceanfront condos, ranging from Studio floor plans skipping up to 3 or 4-bedroom units. All 57 luxury condominiums have exquisite ocean views from their own exclusive lanais.

These do come with resort zoning, which capacitates owners to rent their beachfront Turtle Bay property on a nightly basis – if they desire to. Another perk you may like – room service is also available in the Ocean Villas. Ocean Villa residents may also enjoy the Turtle Bay Resort amenities, like the fitness center, pools, and spas.

Kuilima Estates Condominiums: East vs. West

Kuilima Estates Condominiums are a remarkable, private gated community. Kuilima Estates West and Kuilima Estates East condominiums settle atop a unique, beautiful 18-acre setting; some units are bordering the Turtle Bay Resort, and its world-renown Palmer & Fazio golf course.

Despite the fact that Kuilima condominiums are along the outskirts and entrance of Turtle Bay Resort, it is privately owned, and run by a 7 member board of directors, all of which are elected by the Kuilima homeowners.

Starting back in 2012, the Kuilima condo owners were offered the fee conversion on the leasehold interest in both the Kuilima East and the Kuilima West condominium complexes, even though the Kuilima East and Kuilima West are indeed different associations with different management companies.

Being a resident at Kuilima East or West you may revel in the resort-like amenities – tennis courts, swimming pools with gazebos and barbecues, a pavilion with picnic tables and barbecues, and spacious grounds with well-maintained tropical landscaping.

Lovely white sand beaches at Kawela Bay and Kuilima Cove are a short stroll away. Many other famous beaches and surf breaks are only a few minutes drive from the condos. Also, the Turtle Bay Resort is a very short distance with fine dining, spa, golf, entertainment, and shopping on site.
