North Shore Maui Estate w/Cottage & 5-Car Garage

Maui’s North Shore is the place that I call home. I love the lifestyle that it has to offer. Cool trade wind weather and vast green spaces that emulate the tropics. There is less hustle and bustle on the North Shore. No hotels, little commerce, just pure country living. But I would say country with a good splash of cosmopolitan. You will find an eclectic goup of people that call Haiku home.

There are some nice restaurants – from top of the line Japanese at Nuka to Tuk Tuk Thai that serves out of a school bus. Paia and Makawao are just ten to fifteen minutes away, so finding options for dining is not difficult…and of course, there is always Mama’s Fish House.

Live the Haiku Life

The home I have listed at 500 N Holokai is a 3 bed/3 bath with a cottage on over two acres of land. It is just one house above the ocean – so the views are incredible. When the waves are breaking and the surfers are headed to Jaws (just a cove over) you can hear and feel the power of the ocean from the home. This house has had a complete renovation.

The kitchen is a dream with Ceasar Stone Countertops and Onyx Backsplash. A gas Wolfe range, double oven and extra-large capacity stainless refrigerator and freezer really make ease of cooking and entertaining. This is a plantation-style home with new Bamboo and Tiger-wood flooring. Large wrap-around lanais are what the plantation-style is known for and this does not disappoint.

Incredible views

The bedrooms are all upstairs with an additional den and full bath downstairs (that could easily be turned back into a bedroom). Large windows bring the outdoors into the home, which is light and bright. The ohana (second home) is a one bed/one bath home with vaulted tongue and groove ceilings. It too has undergone a facelift. Brand new kitchen with stainless appliances. A furniture package is available if interested.

This neighborhood is one of my favorite in all of Haiku – everyone walks, bikes, surfs, chats, and just enjoys life.
