Yes, there are so many obvious reasons to love living on Kauai. Here are 10 simple reminders for my Canadian friends – just in case you need a refresher!

10. The People

Let’s be honest, Canadians have a penchant for politeness. With an attitude like that, you will fit right in on Kauai. On Kauai you will be among the friendliest people in the world! Kauaians are known for being the most respectful, life-loving people anywhere in the world.

9. The Climate

Nothing beats the weather on Kauai. As I write this, it is sunny and 83 degrees. With constant sunshine, it’s not too dry or too humid…it’s just perfect!

8. Kauai is So Green!

As a Canadian, I know you love green! On Kauai you’ll have green all around you, all year long! We don’t have an eight month winter where everything hiberbates under snow…it’s all green, all the time!

7. Water Sports

Kauai has every type of water sport you could want! We have the obvious for Kauai: surfing, kayaking (river and ocean), stand-up paddle boarding, scuba diving, snorkeling, water skiing, and kitesurfing. On Kauai we actually do swim with the sea turtles, and it’s amazing!

6. Being Outside

On Kauai we spend a lot of time living outside. Your choices here are amazing! Hike the Na Pali trail, walk Hanalei Beach, golf in Princeville, yoga on the beach, and so many more options. When you live on Kauai, it’s just so beautiful you want to be outside as much as possible.

5. It’s So Romantic!

We all know Canadians are lovers, not fighters! Kauai might just be the most romantic place on Earth. Everywhere you look is beautiful! Stunning landscapes, pristine beaches, amazing waves, beautiful flowers, and unforgettable sunsets!

4. Lots of Canadians Already Live on Kauai

It feels like I meet a Canadian almost everyday. From my yoga instructors to people I meet on the golf course, there are lots of happy Canadians already living on Kauai.

3. The Most Spectacular Sunsets

Whether you watch the sunsets in Poipu, where you can watch the sun drop into the Pacific Ocean, or in Hanalei Bay, where the sunset rays reflect off the amazing cliffs of the Na Pali Coast, you will experience unparalleled breathtaking views as you watch the setting sun.

2. The Wildlife

Kauai is home to some of the world’s rarest and most beautiful tropical birds, plant life, and sea life. Kauai is truly unique, and offers many beautiful and rare species that you won’t find anywhere else in the world!

1. The Aloha Spirit

Kauaians are so nice, but it’s more than just being nice – they have the Aloha Spirit! Aloha literally means: affection, love, peace, compassion, and mercy. This perfectly describes the way people who live on Kauai treat each other.

Sound Good?

If you’ve been thinking about making the move, don’t let the opportunity pass you by. Living on Kauai is something you will never regret!
