Big Island Monthly Local Event: Kailua-Kona Village Stroll Includes Local Vendors, Live Music, and Family Fun

Aloha! Every 3rd Sunday of the month, Alii Drive from Hualalai Road to Kailua Pier is closed down for the Sunday Stroll.

With lots of vendor booths, live music, food, and drawings, you’ll be sure to find something to enjoy! I had a great time walking around checking out all the booths, seeing old friends and acquaintances, and people-watching…the weather was nice on Sunday, and lots of tourists and locals came out to enjoy this event!

Kailua Sunday Stroll: As Fun as a Block Party!

As I strolled up and down Alii Drive, I saw lots of interesting jewelry, paintings, t-shirts, and snacks like kettle corn and waffle dogs! I sat down near a little cove next to the Palace eating a waffle dog, and waited for the drawing to take place for a $50 gift card. The registration for the drawing was at the Kailua Village information booth.

After this, we strolled toward Bubba Gumps Restaurant and we stopped in at Wyland Galleries at Waterfront Row. I fell in love with this painting by Steve Barton (pictured below) and could easily visualize myself here.

The picturesque sites and sounds of Alii Drive were very relaxing, and enhanced my love for this fun little town of Kona! I had a great time and I hope to see you folks down at the Sunday Stroll sometime! Hawaii living at its best!

The weather was nicely overcast, so it wasn’t as hot as it usually was. There was a tourist family that was watching their kin playing in the cove. She got soaking wet, but she didn’t care, she was having fun in the water!

I love people watching, and eating, and watching the turquoise water in Kailua Bay…it’s all so dreamlike and fun! Anytime you need to know the latest Kona events and festivities in town, I would be happy to direct you! I love my Hawaii life…can you tell?!

What year is this schedule published? It doesn’t align with 2014 or 2105?
