HAWAI'I LIFEKatie Minkus Is Promoted To Statewide Director Of Sales
Katie Minkus, REALTOR, Broker, and Hawaii Life’s most senior Broker-In-Charge, has been promoted to Statewide Director of Sales. In her new role, Katie will be responsible for managing Hawaii Life’s customer service with respect to online inquiries from hawaiilife.com, as well as managing the company’s relationship with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, the world’s largest independent real estate referral network.
Since joining Hawaii Life in February of 2009 as the Broker-In-Charge of the Big Island of Hawaii, Katie has overseen more than 545 transaction-sides for a total over $220 million in residential real estate sales. Prior to 2009, Katie was the Broker-In-Charge of Lava Rock Realty, a company she co-founded in Waimea, HI. She was also Hawaii Life’s original referral partners on the Big Island of Hawaii, helping thousands of customers with their real estate searches across the island. To date, Katie and her team have led Hawaii Life in sales generated from online sources.
Katie’s leadership experience and track record of results made her a shoe-in for this new role. As Statewide Director of Sales, we’re giving Katie a larger sandbox to play in, and we fully expect that she’ll generate very similar results across Hawaii as she has on the Big Island. With the exception of our Brokers-In-Charge on each island, this is the first leadership position in the company which isn’t based out of our headquarters on Kauai. It’s a big deal.
Katie will stay on as Broker-In-Charge of the Big Island Hawaii, although her new role means increased responsibility for Margaret Reynolds, Hawaii Life’s Broker-In-Charge based in Kailua-Kona. As Hawaii Life gears up for more online traffic in the winter of 2012/13, and as we’re preparing to role out new software changes for both customers as well as brokers and agents, we’re thrilled to have Katie Minkus on board in her new role as Statewide Director of Sales.

Katie, I concur with Byron…I too, am so very proud of you and am deeply honored to be your colleague and to know you as one of my dearest friends. You are the reason I was able to change careers and dive into real estate full time, which changed my life in ways that I cannot even begin to thank you with words.
