As mentioned in my first recipe blog, Hawaii is a wonderful mix of cultures and each of these peoples brought with them their customs and foods during the early plantation days. Because we have this rich Hawaiian heritage, I started this running blog that features recipes with a Hawaiian flair. We certainly are lucky to have delicious pineapples available to us at our Farmer’s Markets…they don’t get fresher than that!

That’s a great suggestion–especially if you had a wonderful tasting pineapple. I did a blog with the instructions on how to grow your own pineapple from the top. You can check it out at: “http://www.hawaiilife.com/articles/2011/05/how-to-grow-pineapple/”
