Big Island

Oktoberfest Coming to the Big Island's Waimea (Kamuela) This Friday

My Rotary Club is putting the finishing touches on our annual fundraiser, Oktoberfest, and it looks like this Friday there will be plenty of fun and food flowing along with the beer. The festivities will happen quickly for this year’s Oktoberfest—running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pukalani Stables in Waimea, just behind the Parker Ranch Center. There will be ample fun, food, and laughs packed into those three hours.

Friday—5 p.m. to 8 p.m.—Pukalani Stables (behind Parker Ranch Center)

If you’ve never been to Oktoberfest, it’s food, live music, a silent auction, more German food, beer, fun, a costume contest…oh, and we’ll be having a Chicken Dance! Come relax, let us do the cooking, and help us raise funds for Rotary grants and scholarships.

I’ll be there serving up food and fun! You can still buy tickets in advance—a $45 donation from any Rotarian, and also from several locations in Waimea, but if you need to wait to buy tickets at the door, they will be $50. If you have any questions, feel free to call me, I’m a member of the Rotary Club of North Hawaii, and should be able to answer most questions.

I love the Big Island! Aloha!
