The Best Time in 50 Years to Invest in Hawaii Real Estate

“This is the best time in 50 years to buy a home. If you don’t own a home, buy one. If you own a home, buy another one, and if you own two homes, buy a third and lend your relatives the money to buy a home.” —John Paulson, Hedge Fund Giant (personally made $5 billion in 2010)

This statement is exactly what is being said in the upper echelons of America’s most successful business people. Another statement Mr. Paulson said was, “when people are optimistic about the economy, be cautious, and when people are cautious about the economy, be optimistic!”

In my humble opinion, there is no better place to live on the entire planet than right here on the pristine North Shore of Kauai, Hawaii. Allow me to explain why…Crystal blue waters, verdant green valleys, and smiling friendly faces. Each day on Kauai is truly paradise indeed.

When I was only 7 years old, my parents came back to Palm Beach, Florida, where I am from, and showed me the most stunning pictures and videos of epic waterfalls, surfing, and the most amazing flowers I had ever seen. I was so amazed by what I saw, that I knew I had to live in this heavenly place as soon as I was old enough. When I asked where this island of dreams was, there was only one simple answer…Kauai.

Kauai truly is the place of dreams come true. This is the healthiest living in the entire world; fresh local grown food, fresh fish caught from our waters, and free-range organic beef. Our laid-back lifestyle is one that you quickly get used to, trading your business suit for a bathing suit and board meetings for board shorts.

The word “aloha” you hear more than any other. “Aloha” not only means hello and goodbye, its true meaning is love. Its deeper meaning is “the joyful (oha) sharing (alo) of life energy (ha) in the present (alo).” That is what you experience living on Kauai; love for your island, love for your neighbor, and love for each moment you get to enjoy living in paradise. Once you fall in love with the Garden Island of Kauai…it’s a love that lasts forever.

I love Kauai even though I live on the island of Hawaii. I love it for the same reasons you do and I will always have fond memories of all my trips over, especially the one when I got married on Shipwreck Beach; a memorable day for sure. My husband and I chose Kauai because of all the wonderful times we have had there and although we live on the Big Island, it is a special place for us.
