President Obama Vacations with Family in a Kailua Beach Estate

While on vacation in Hawaii, the Obama family is staying in a single-story oceanfront home in Kailua, same rental they have been staying at since 2008. (Estate not currently on the market.) Area residents can expect to catch a glimpse of the First Family for Christmas and New Year at the “Winter White House.” The Secret Service have alerted homeowners along Kailuana Place in Kailua of President Obama’s vacation. Checkpoints are already in place, and the Obama Christmas vacation is in full swing.

The President and his family are sure to swim in the waters off Kailua Beach. Though security is tight, a few homeowners and tourists will surely spot the Obamas taking beach strolls. The President’s favorite is a secluded beach at a nearby Marine Corps base. If time permits, he will also be hitting a couple of golf courses on Oahu. The First Family also enjoys visiting the Honolulu Zoo in Waikiki. They were able to do this shortly before departure during their 2009 Christmas vacation in Hawaii.
