Earlier this week, the Wailea Golf Estates home we built for a client in 1999 sold for just under $5 million cash. This home was the 20^th sale that recorded for $3+ million this year on Maui. As I’ve suspected since January, the luxury end of the marketplace seems to be leading the other sectors of the market to recovery. I believe that we in Wailea were the last to feel the recession, and also one of the first to recover.

Wailea Golf Estates – A Community Overview

The Wailea Golf Estates neighborhood offers 61 different home sites, which are positioned on approximately 30 acres. This gated community is completely built out, offering its residents a very private, quiet, and highly sought after lifestyle. Homes very rarely become available in this neighborhood, as it’s so highly desired. There are currently only four properties available in the Wailea Golf Estates, which are offered between $2 and $6.5 million.
