Bomb Shelter or Luxury Kauai Studio? You be the Judge

If you have a taste for a a unique, modern, high tech, micro living space, perched on a mountain ridge overlooking the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai, then this might be the opportunity of a lifetime.

Pomakai Doors with a surprise

I first saw this house (MLS# 235986) several years ago, and when I approached the entry it look pretty much like an electrical sub-station, or a bomb shelter.  Solid Concrete, Brick, and zero landscaping. What I found as I turned to enter the magnificent Stainless Steel Doors, was a very contemporary,  unique and expertly designed living space with a view of forever.

Views of Forever from your High Tech Hale

This little jewel would not be  for everyone, but for anyone who wants to live simply and elegantly, or someone that has a taste for simplicity and minimalism, who loves to sit in a Hot Tub high above the goregous Wailua Valley on a beautiful island on Kauai.  This could be your heaven on earth.

Thoughtful use of concrete, Stainless Steel, bamboo, and built in furnishings,,,create a completely self contained living area that sits on over a half acre of beautiful Kauai offers its occupants a lifestyle of simplicity and tranquility with all the modern high tech finishes.

There may be the ability to expand the 625 sq ft living space, should you decide you need more room, but perhaps after seeing it, you will agree that it is perfect for what it is, just as it is.

This is truely one of the most unusal homes on Kauai, and now offered at only $479,900.00

Enjoy

You want input? Here ya go! Needs some interior photos. Sounds too negative….eg “would not be for everyone” or even the “bomb shelter” reference. It may look like that, but I wouldn’t focus on that…or whatever other negatives you perceive. Focue on the positive….sleek, clean modern design, great views, etc. I LOVE modern, LOVE the front door, and love minimalism, yet the site seems to make these qualities seem negative or undesirable. Maybe say something like “low maintenance, solid, termite-resistant concrete construction”…will keep you safe and cozy in a hurricane. Then again, perhaps we don’t want to mention the word “hurricane!” Also the “may” be the ability to expand. Can you or can’t you? BUT I am a mismatcher, so I tend to point out what is wrong, rather than what is right. P.S. I used to own a property on Pomaikai!

This property went under contract and just fell out today. Maybe my buyer will have another shot at it now!
