Erik Hinshaw is many things: an explorer of new ideas, a global traveller, an admirer of other cultures, peoples and ways of life. Growing up in a small seaside community near Seattle, Washington, he has always found his sense of place by the ocean.
So it is no small wonder that all of these traits combined led him eventually to Hawaii, first to the coffee farm-laden Kona side of the Big Island, then its polar opposite - Waikiki Beach, where he quickly became one of Hawaii’s Top 100 Realtors (2015).
Erik learned by growing up the son of a small grocer and a paperboy that being a self-starter combined with diligence and hard work brings results, and he has applied this insight to all his relationships be they with other Realtors, Contractors, or, most importantly, his Clients.
His global travel, which has opened him up to understanding other cultures, began with a year in Beijing while attending Swarthmore College, where he studied Chinese language and translated for newspapers there, and continued to Japan, throughout Western Europe, Australia, and even living and working on a sheep station in New Zealand.
Relationships are at the heart of Erik’s business acumen. What makes his clients happy, what inspires them, what their motivations, wants and needs are become his, and to these goals he applies himself successfully.
Living and working in a Beachside Community throughout his life has given him great rapport with others who seek the same, whether they are looking to find a timeless cottage so close to the beach that even the neighborhood streets are sandy, a multiple million dollar Oceanfront Estate, which he has had the pleasure of representing both buyer and seller on numerous occasions, or any number of Ocean View Condos that Oahu is famous for in and around Waikiki Beach and the Gold Coast.
Erik has learned that living in Hawaii doesn’t mean you have to relinquish your inner Urbanite, and the new developments in the Ala Moana and Kaka’ako areas bear this out. Good Restaurants, Good Shopping, Good Beaches, and Good Activities make for a Good Life, a Hawaii Life.
Erik Hinshaw is happy to share with you this Hawaii Life.
