HAWAI'I LIFEKihei Condos 4 Best Buys – 2 Bedroom Units Under $400K
As the latest in a series of blogs identifying the best values in a certain area/price range, below are some excellent Kihei condo buys, all for under $400K.
1) Kihei Waipuilani 2 bed / 1.5 bath (MLS# 340323)
Drive down Kihei Road and look at the outside of Waipuilani Condos, and it really doesn’t look like much. Take the time to stroll its expansive lawn down to the ocean, however, and you’re in a hidden world—the value is instantly apparent.
This nicely redone Waipuilani unit is definitely in the running for best oceanfront Kihei buy at $399K. Short term rentals are OK.

2) The Boardwalk stylish loft-style 2 bed / 1 bath unit listed for $299K (MLS# 342580)
A few blocks south is the Boardwalk, an intimate 10-unit property that sits just 75 feet from the beach access. Its Halama Street location (it’s a Maui landmark neighborhood with beach access to miles of shoreline) only enhances this stylish condo, which features floor to ceiling windows in the living room that lets in the light, and the best view lanai you’ll find at under $300K.

3) Maui Vista 2 bed / 2 bath listed at$395K (MLS# 342699)
Located directly across the street from Charlie Young and Kamaole I Beach—the beginning of the world class string of South Kihei beaches—the Maui Vista remains one of the best values in South Kihei’s vacation rental condo community. The real draw is the beach. This condo is in arguably the best location on the property (back building, top floor), and has a bit of a view.
The grounds are immaculate, there are three pools and tennis, and the property is walking distance to everything.
4) Pacific Shores Ground floor, residential 2-bed / 2-bath listed at $245K (MLS# 338083)
Directly next door to Maui Vista, same beaches, same approximate size, but priced at $150K less—solely because it is not vacation rental friendly—the Pacific Shores offers the same level of value in the residential condo realm. This Kihei condo will likely sell, now that the price is in line (it was recently dropped $84K). One pool, a little less landscaping than next door, but strong value—and definitely one of Maui’s best buys at under $250K.
