Whole Foods Market opens on Maui

OMG!! You would think people never saw food before.

Maui’s “healthiest'” real estate offerings

Last week the national health food store chain Whole Foods Market opened in Central Maui, luckily right around the corner from our new Hawaii Life Real Estate Maui Office. I had the pleasure of visiting it the second day it opened and had to circle the parking lot 6 times before stalking someone for a space.

I’ve been to a Whole Foods before so I knew what to expect but for some local residents this was their first time experiencing this gourmet shopping venue. The prepared foods section was jammed packed and people were wandering around star struck at the vast selections of everything from organic wines to the Shrimp Thai Basil Noodle Bowl that is prepared fresh and hot before your eyes. It was exciting to see people eating things that were good for them and making a conscious effort to be kind to their bodies. I grabbed a quick Kale salad and tried to bolt but ran into about 15 friends as I was making my way to the door. Not only good food but apparently Maui’s new social gathering place as well.

Maui has always had a healthy and vivacious aura. From the mountains to the sea and from windsurfing to yoga people flock to Maui to relax and rejuvenate. We have a very eclectic mixture of people who all seem to be beautiful, fit and smiling. At least that is how I see my island, call me an eternal optimist. Sporty, artsy and fun seeking is how I would describe my fellow islanders. So all of this in consideration with its convenient location, healthy inventory and attractive presentation I predict Whole Foods Market to be a huge success.

So how does this relate to Maui real estate you may ask?? Well it is just another reason to live on Maui. We have all of the major conveniences now, except Victoria’s Secret, which I am sure would make both men and women happy if they decided to add a store here. Anyway if you are relocating from the frigid East Coast or getting away from the rat race of the West Coast we can now offer you all the conveniences, including gourmet health food.

In honor of our new Health Conscious Addition in the retail department I thought it only fit to include some of Maui’s “healthiest'” real estate offerings. I call it the gallery of “Zen Retreats“, a hand picked selection of serene and peaceful homes for sale that will offer you the perfect environment to be healthy and pursue your best “Hawaii Life” while eating your Organic Tomato Basil Quinoa from Whole Foods. Bon Appetite!

I’m so jealous. I love Whole Foods. One more plus for Maui.

The food bar is amazing. It’s so time saving to stop in and pick up a quick bite and leave and the food is really good. I did a quick spin last Sunday for some bulk Oatmeal and it was jammed. See you there!
