One major factor in regard to Kauai condo real-estate not well covered is the declining U.S. dollar and the number of people reaching total retirement age in Canada and the UK, as in able to stay on Kauai for the entire horrible Canadian and Brit winters.

Par in Canada is the tipping point for thousands of would be Kauai and Maui condo buyers.

This is a huge psychological point ......... Canadians and Brits do not like the idea of paying a premium to own a piece of paradise, but when one Canadian dollar equals one U.S. dollar it’s a whole different ball game. I personally know two Canadians who have bought on Kauai in the last month. Whereas they can only be on Kauai 6 months of the year, USCIS rules, that’s all they want and if they get a good rental agent they can keep the place well booked as a vacation rental the rest of the year. Now if only some smart cookie where to buy the Coco Palms and restore it exactly to its former glory and have an Elvis impersonator singing Blue Hawaii in the Coco Lounge. Well you would have every Elvis fan on the planet - that would be about a million people - beating down the doors to stay there !
