June 2009 Maui Real Estate Sales Statistics

Alright, RAMaui.com numbers are out so I’m updating the post as well as adding more info. Here are the official Maui real estate statistics for June 2009.

It was also the best month of 2009 to date for luxury sales, with 11 condos selling for more than $1,000,000. The highest single sales price, $11,250,000 for a Keawakapu beach home.

  • 62 homes sold, a 22.6% decrease from the 76 homes sold in June of 2008. The median price of homes sold was $499,053, down from the median price of $606,000 in June of 2008.
  • 45 condomimums sold, a 24.4% decrease from the 56 sold in 2008. The median price of condominiums was $520,000, down from $577,000 in June of 2008.
  • 8 land parcel sales, a 37.5% decrease from 11 in June of 2008. The median price for land was $512,000, down from $700,000 in June of 2008.

23% of all home sales were either bank owned properties or short sales, and 8% of the condominium sales were short sales or bank owned properties, but there were no short sales or bank owned closes of land.
