Sales volume and median prices decrease significantly

• Sales of single family homes on O‘ahu decreased 26.2 percent in April and 33.1 percent for condominiums compared to last April.
• For the first four months of 2009, single family home sales on O‘ahu decreased 32.4 percent compared to last year, and total condominium sales through April showed a 42 percent decrease.
• Median prices paid for O‘ahu properties in the first four months of 2009 were down 8 percent for single family homes and down 7.3% for condominiums.
• The total dollar sales volume generated in the O‘ahu housing market decreased 46% for the first four months of this year.
